Frequently asked questions

Beliefs, visiting, giving, and getting involved.

What does Lake Shore Church believe?
We hold to scripture-based, Assemblies of God theology — the Bible as our authority, the Trinity, the bodily resurrection of Jesus, salvation by grace through faith, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the mission of the church.
Is everyone welcome on Sunday?
Yes. Come as you are. We meet at Merit School of Music in the West Loop — doors open 9:30 a.m., service at 10:00 a.m.
What denomination are you?
We are an Assemblies of God church. See our Beliefs page for the sixteen fundamental truths we affirm.
How do I give online?
Visit the Give page for Zeffy (no platform fees) and PayPal Giving Fund options. You can designate tithe, missions, building, or mercy funds.
How do I watch online?
When we are live, open Sermons → Live. Sunday messages, podcast, and blog are all under the Sermons menu — same as the mobile app. Books are under Grow → Books.
What is Wednesday prayer?
Midweek prayer and Bible study on Wednesdays — in a member's home when scheduled (call or email for the weekly location) and on Zoom every week using the same room as Sunday worship. Some weeks are Zoom-only.
How do I submit a prayer request?
Use the Prayer page form. Our team prays for every request; a leader may follow up if you ask.
How can I serve?
See Ministries → Get involved — Levites, worship, technology, prayer, children's ministry, and more.
Where is Pastor Brian's teaching online?
Sermons → Podcast and Blog tabs on the website and app. Full archives are on craigbrianlarson.com and Libsyn. Books are under Grow → Books.
How do I become a member?
