Day 32 — Wednesday, April 5th
Title: Having a Future
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11
ESV: “I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
NIV: “I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Main Idea: Because God has favor toward you, your best days are never behind you but rather ahead of you. God’s favor means we always have hope.
For Hungry Readers: God plans our lives. When you are in God’s favor, your future is something to look forward to. Your ultimate future has no evil in it, but only wholeness, peace, prosperity, shalom.
Favor guarantees your future.
God spoke this promise to Israel when they were suffering wrath because of their stubborn evil-doing. If you feel that God is disciplining you for wrongdoing, be encouraged by this promise, that God will have favor toward you and give a blessed future if you will walk faithfully with him.
Faith Declarations: I have reason for hope because God plans a blessed future for me.
