Day 14 — Saturday, March 18th
Title: Stewarding Favor
Scripture: Luke 19:15–17, 26 (to read the full parable, see Luke 19:12–27)
“When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business. The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.’ And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities….’”
“…to everyone who has, more will be given….”
Main Idea: God gives more favor as we faithfully steward the favor already given.
For Hungry Readers: God shows us favor by giving responsibilities. His desire is to favor us with much greater ones. But he waits to see whether we faithfully steward what is given, or neglect it. God gives more favor to faithful people. We will receive most of that increased favor in the coming age when Jesus renews all things.
Faith Declarations: By God’s grace I will faithfully steward all the favor God gives me in this life: positions of authority, church responsibilities, spiritual gifts, relationships, finances, possessions, health, and so on.
