Day 4 — Wednesday, March 8th
Scripture: Psalm 142:7 says, “you will deal bountifully with me.”
The Main Idea: God relates to his children generously, bountifully, out of his unlimited resources and infinite goodwill.
For Hungry Readers: God is generous. God has unlimited bounty in himself, for he is infinite and has no limits to what he can do and create. If he wants to create a universe with one sun, one star, he can do it, or if he wants to create a universe with 100 billion galaxies each with 100 billion stars, he can do it.
He gave a bountiful creation to humanity. The world that he created reveals that life simply explodes, even in a world that is groaning under the effects of sin and the curse. In just one growing season a mature apple tree produces thousands and thousands of beautiful blossoms followed by hundreds of applies, each apple containing multiple seeds. This is the heart of God toward humanity, toward you.
When there is lack, it is because of the direct or indirect effects of evil.
Whenever people walk in God’s ways, they are on the path of blessing and abundant life.
Faith Declarations: God will deal bountifully with me. God is generous with me, not just in material things but in all things. God will always be far more kind to me than anyone else can ever be.
