The fifth key idea from last Sunday’s message, “Called to Faith,” is:
The subject of faith is of central importance in the Gospels, and this confirms the truth that seeking faith is important to true disciples. In the Gospel of Matthew, for example, there are eleven occurrences where Matthew draws attention to faith and its importance to Jesus. This is clearly a running theme in the book. Those Scriptures are 6:30, 8:5–13, 8:23–26, 9:1–2, 9:18–22, 9:27–30, 14:22–32, 15:21–28, 16:5–11, 17:14–20, 21:18–22.
